Interviews

On Saturday my fabulous roommate Camie filmed a video for us! She interviewed us separately about how we met, who kissed who first, who's going to clean up the dirty diapers, etc. It was so fun and cute and I can't wait to put it together and show you! Here are a couple pictures before the interview part.

The weather has been SO NICE lately! In the high 30s low 40s! This is amazing for Rexburg in March.

We had dinner last night with my old roommate and her husband! They are expecting and it was so great to see them and catch up on everything :)
Kentelope and I talked about how we are going to handle Family Home Evenings in the future. Here's what we've got sofar:
Song. Prayer. Lesson. Closing Prayer. Treat. Activity.
haha

have a goooood monday!

Behind the scenes

Ever wonder how long/how many tries it takes to get a daily photo located: here?
Each time the camera is either on an object (such as a table) or my tripod and I set the timer for 10 sec.

Take 1: bad angle

 Take 2: Kent being goofy

Take 3: Smacking Kent because he is being too goofy

Take 4: We were lucky

Take 5: nahhhh

Take 6: "Lets get our faces in it"

Take 7: Kent's turn to pose the picture

Take 8:  an "I can't believe you made us take a picture like that!" picture

We are enjoying this little daily project of ours :)

Last night Kent wrapped me up nice and good so that I could so my homework and not be chilly.

I spy little fingers

holding it together

I miss this guy. He is at work alllllll day.
We saw "We Bought a Zoo" last night at the 3 dollar theater and cried together at the end. We never want anything like that (early death) to happen to one of us so we realized that we really need to enjoy all the moments we are blessed to have with each other. It was awesome.

I have several assignments and things to do, but I'm enjoying the stressful times now because I know I won't be in school forever! After my bachelor's I hope I find a nice company to work for wherever Kentelope takes us.
Ice Cream & the gym are helping us hold it all together.
What about you?

CRAZY Monday

I lost my computer last Friday afternoon.

We left for Utah on Friday (fun weekend post coming... just wait!), came back and I couldn't find it for the life of me. That's when I remembered when I bought sandwiches for the trip to Utah from that store behind Kent's shoulder. I put my laptop down to order/take the sandwiches home. No big deal, we will stop by the Lost and Found tomorrow morning it will be there.

Nada.

I gave them my info and then went to the store to ask if they picked up a laptop or saw one on the counter, and they didn't. We went to the custodial office, then they told me to go to the security office. Kent & I went and had to report a "theft" thing for the computer, even though I knew it couldn't be stolen - comon guys, it's BYU-Idaho.
So basically I had private detectives hired for FREE to break this case of the missing/"stolen" computer! (see picture - 2 police officers in the background behind the kid in grey). It was a crazy/eventful day. I had assignments due today and got them done WAY last minute and then I had to hunt my computer down all across campus. I like those weird moments of life where everything works out, and you know it will, you just have to do your very best and all that you can to get it done.
My laptop is safe and sound now, and I am here blogging at 12:57am - when I am fully aware that I stink like a bonfire (FHE @the Sand Dunes) and I'm tired and I have a 7:45am class tomorrow morning. Oh wait, every morning besides good ol' Friday.

After work, I went home to meet Kent to have a snack before Family Home Evening. On my way I saw a man whistling and taking out the garbage - thought nothing of it and kept going along to my home. Kent sneaks up behind me and yells, "BLAAA!" and makes me scream so loud. We laughed about it for like 5 minutes. Turns out the guy taking out the trash asked Kent if he could help, and yep, he sure did. (I was TOTALLY distracted).
After laughing and hugging because we hadn't seen each other for FOUR WHOLE HOURS, I got the mail and noticed a package for me from my wonderful Granny :) She has been so gracious and supportive with my journey to college away from home. Every holiday I have received a "holiday package" of goodies celebrating that holiday. Kent and I opened a valentines day one today! It is so cute and the decorations she sends add so much love and happiness to our apartment. I can't wait to do this to my children/grandchildren. It totally makes my day and reminds me that I have grandparents that think about me and love me!

I was in the Spori lab until 11:10pm tonight finishing my assignment. Kent was such a sweetie and came with me after FHE to do his homework right next to me and I just couldn't help but stare at him just because how wonderful he is to me and others and how much fun we have together!
I love my man.

have an awesome Tuesday! I will post photos from the weekend soon. PS I GOT A DRESS! And Kent and I made a budget! The Wedding is COMING TOGETHER!! It's a miracle and so fun. Can't wait to show you.

I should be in bed

I have a 7:45am class tomorrow and a butt load of things due at like every hour.

So now I will upload pictures.

Thanks Granny and Grandpa for the $6 to buy some ice cream! :)
Neilsons is our favorite!! Frozen Custard is the way to go. We ate this and then watched "The Last Song" and cried our little eyes out.

This is how we say goodnight every night with the little wave goodbye- I watch him until he gets to the end of the hall, and sometimes peek over the edge of the railing to wave one more time.

First there is one of these, and then we wave goodbye :)

Ahhh I love him and this pic. My awesome friend Lauren did the hair - she did practice wedding hair on me tonight. she is amazingggg.
FHE with the Dominguez family Monday night! We've got treat and lesson!
WOOO!

One last hooo-rah

This is not a final post of any sort, but I just feel like I’m giving school my final effort and my last hoorah for the semester. There are finals and quizzes and projects that require a lot of my time. So does my job. But I haven’t been as stressed as past semesters, which is crazy because Kent is here too! :) Someone once told me Kent is probably equivalent to 20 credits, but those are 20 credits of fun and enjoyable times and memories made together. It has really been a wonderful semester for the two of us and we have grown so much. And I wouldn’t trade those credits for anything!

ice cream!
Last night we tried to surprise each other. I showed up at his interview while he showed up at the end of my class (both at 4:45). We must have taken different routes because we texted each other asking where the other one was and we had switched places. My class got out early so I ran to Zion’s Bank – where he had an interview, and he ran to my photo class (but I got out early). He ran back to Zion’s while I cashed some checks and then we changed something in Kent’s account and traveled over to Jamba Juice in the 1 degree weather. WE GOT THE WHITE GUMMY WITH RASPBERRY! We really enjoyed it because of the taste and also because Kent had a gift card and it was free. While walking back to get ready for Kent’s Christmas ward party, we froze. It was the coldest day of my life. My nose and mouth felt like someone was pinching them. Kent’s ears were falling off from the chills. We had to take 2 breaks on the way home – one at Jimmy Johns, and one in the corner of the stairs to my apartment complex. It was probably the coldest I’d ever been.

We got through it and made it home, changed and went to a Christmas party for Kent’s ward from Church! The food was DELICIOUS there was Turkey, mashed potatoes, rolls, stuffing, corn, cake and (Kent’s personal favorite) Cranberry sauce! Mmmmmmm I could hear my tummy saying “thank you” – due to a major shift from macaroni, ramen, and cereal.
Helping clean up

We were dropped off at my apartment and walked to the Library (still chilly). I did one assignment while kent looked at the free rental DVD’s. We chose this cute Christmas love story with these old people and how they were so different, but fell in love. At the end they started kissing. It was kind of weird and we were like “ehhhhww.” but then we decided we are going to kiss when we are old too. Ha

I am home again in 11 days - I am SO excited to see my family again!! It's going to be tough because I'll miss my man. a lot. But I can't wait to be in my own home again with those wonderful people. LOVE YOU!!

This is me with finals.. I know I will miss this someday.

Have a great Tuesday!

Letter to Claire

Claire and Kent at the Sock Hop in Manhattan, KS
I wrote my sister, Claire a letter and I thought it was blog-worthy and really documented our day, so I will type it down.
(p.s. Claire, don't read this until you get your letter)

"Kent and I were doing laundry today (at his place because it's free for me because he has to buy this $85 card... so dumb, so I use it too to use it up before the semester ends) when I received a phone call from Brother Rarick asking if he could pick us up (awesome - no car, remember?) and take us (w/ everyone) to their church gym to play soccer/bball/frisbee, etc. (double awesome). So he picked us up at 3pm and we played soccer then all the kids (minus nora) played in the nursery for like 2 hours while Kent and Tim played bball with old men. It was kent's first time since broken fingers, so he loved it. The Rarick's invited us to dinner (yummy burritos). We ate, played hullaballoo, and then we all watched the GRINCH while Jodi sewed something cool. I played with Nora mostly :)
Then something fabulous awesome happened. Jodi gave me her keys to their Honda thing and said, "drive it home and then come to church tomorrow" It was so awesome feeling so trusted. With their car.We asked if we could get some groceries too, so we went to Walmart. While we were in the ice cream section, Jodi walks up! It was weird/funny because we had her car. Don't worry, we said a prayer before we left and no accidents! She was getting ice cream to help her write her talk (I'm guessing) because she hadn't written it yet. It's awesome because she says she is the worst procrastinator, and so am I!"

The end for the letter.

Oh, but I will say this from the letter, "Update me on yo life, girl! Love you, Anna"
(You can read that, Claire)

We made it to church the next day RIGHT on time. We were a little late because we snooozed our alarms. But we sat with the kiddos and were edified from their talks. Carter gave a talk in Primary, so we went to his too. He has such a testimony! and only 8 years old! I was never that focused or in tune with the Spirit at that age.
Kent and I talked about how the family ward was a nice change from being in a singles ward. It seems like everyone is in the same boat, going to the same school, attending the same classes.... while a family ward has so much variety and experience waiting to be heard, shared, taught and practiced! It was a wonderful Sabbath.
The Raricks let us take their car again because we went for dinner again! They are so wonderful and kind to us. We skyped my family after homemade lasagna and homemade lemon bars. When we are older (not saying they are old) but we want to do things like have college students over and let them borrow our car for a night and watch movies and play games with them. It is such a wonderful feeling being in a home with a family every once in a while. Because you tend to miss family. a lot. (especially the first semester).

**************************************************

Well, no news here but I didn't do much of my homework over the break. I didn't even do the stuff due tomorrow! What was I thinking?? I have to memorize paragraph number 6 of "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" by 2pm tomorrow. Can I do it? I might start tonight...ehh.

Gotta cram it all in because I leave for home (and the semester is over) in 3 weeks!!

Love you Claire!
This is sad that this is the only picture I have of us on my computer, photoshoot when I get home??

p.s. Kent dribbled a basket ball through my legs and went to go get it and slammed his forehead onto my nose. ow. Not broken, but ow.
p.p.s. I bought business cards for new photog business!! stay tuned..

So many words in this post. Probably my longest word one ever.

Up at 5:35am

matchy-matchy

Kent and I got up at 5:35am this morning to register for classes. Our apartment internet is terrible, so we met up on campus. Registration started at 6am and Kent was done getting all his classes by 6:07am. I finally finished at 6:45am and then we went to go get a smoothie and a breakfast sausage thing, which was SO GOOD! ps we got 3 classes together! I'm so excited!! and one of them is a social dance class! :)

We sat there and talked for a while about the future and how he feels about his job. We are both so grateful for the job he has now, but we are going to keep our eyes out for another one. I will be keeping my photography job for next semester.

Registering for classes made me think of my roommates that I had my first semester, and now. They are such lovely ladies!

These are my wonderful roommates now!
Anna Christine - get it??

Have a wonderful day!

SO MANY PUPPIES

Kent and I had a fabulous weekend in Boise! We stayed with two of his mission companions at one of their homes.... where there were 18  puppies!! They breed schnauzers and at the moment they had 3 litters :) I was in heaven.

Kent is allergic to dogs, but he still loves them :)

We took a trip to Cabella's and enjoyed looking at things that were wayyy to expensive for us.

So we took pictures with the bears

rawr.

These are all the adults (there are 9)

The little one by my right hand was my favorite, he looked like your typical schnauzer.
 Yeah, he's my favorite.
While everyone else was getting ready to get into the hot tub, I still played with the dogs.
Thank you for all the pictures Kent...
These were the mamas, they needed some love too
 HOT TUB!!

WITH A MOVIE!! And floating popcorn bowls.
Until it started raining so we went inside...
...and  I played with the dogs for a while while we waited to leave.
The owner let me bottle feed one of the sick puppies named Scarlett who had pneumonia

It makes me miss Kiva a little bit...

But I will see her and my family soon because I leave for home in 1 month and 2 days! This semester has gone by so fast.

Currently I am:
Writing a research paper on Child-Directed Marketing
Having back pain
Sitting in my Bed
Missing Kent who is at work
Thinking of the future...
undecided on my major
but, LOVING MY LIFE

I have so much to be grateful for.

Have a wonderful day!
