3 day weekend!!!

5 minutes after we left to go to Utah for the weekend, we were pulled over for going to fast. Ha, good way to start the weekend! We eventually got there and had a wonderful time with the Buys' family. Lots of ice cream, movies and games :)

On Sunday Kent and I put together a binder of all of the letters we sent to each other April 2011 - August 2011 (while we were apart). It was SO FUN to look back on our little jokes and sweet words said to each other. We didn't really know each other well, but then did get to know each other through letter communication. I am so glad we did this. I recommend it.

I should have taken a final picture of the final book we made... but we basically filled the letters into clear sheets and put them in the flower binder that is in the corner of the last picture. It's huge because we sent each other so much paper!! It will be so fun to look back on when we are old farts.

Our wedding stuff is coming together! We officially have a reception place for Kansas and Utah! Now we just need to call the temple... (they don't have a phone number yet). haha

ps This morning videotaped a girl in my class who was sleeping. She was pretty funny, and it looks like she kinda knew... oh well :)

I need to blog more

I just realized that I haven't blogged in foreverr. I started that little "daily calendar" of write one little thing about your day, and then you are done and flip it to the next one... kinda thing and I have been neglecting this little bloggy. I also do that Kent&Anna tumblr blog, and that's on my mind most of the time. Also wedding plans have attacked, I'm in school and work is busier than it's ever been of taking pictures of very specific random things for the new BYU-I website. I'll try to post some of my work (when I can find it on the site). I have been journaling which is a plus - usually it's a sacrifice between the blog or the journal. Journal has been wining.
Oh my gosh. Kent and I watched "The Last Song" and I cried like a wildfire. The little boy reminded me of my little brother, and the dad wrote music!! Like my dad!! It was so sad and made me realize that I should not take the relationships I have now and the ones I have later for granted. People are put in our lives for a reason and I need to always remember how blessed I am to live here, in this country at this moment and go to this amazing university with my fiance who oh-so loves me and shows it everyday. I have been so incredibly blessed to have the support I have and the family that surrounds me everyday. Life is awesome. I never knew Miley Cyrus would totally change my thoughts to really happy ones.
This was our date on MLK day - we made a paper chain to count down the days until Valentines day (Kent thought it was in April). Each link on the chain says something we need to do for that day. Here are a few examples:
-listen to each other's heartbeats
-call our parents
-piggy back down and back starting from my apartment to the end of the hall
-staring contest... GO!
and those are the handprints we made then wrote on with sharpie to opposite parents, telling them that we are so grateful for their love and support - then we said "we expect you to hang these on the fridge, like old times" (hang our art work - like we are kids) haha and they did.
Then we made hotdog/whateverisinmyfridgeandcupboard castles. We had 10 minutes to create the magical place and then it was our dinner :) After dinner we made "little dippers" which are like homemade take 5's.

I love pinterest. This is basically where all my ideas came from. (I came up with the dinner part and the chain).
Things are going super well, and we couldn't be happier! :)
Have a great week - if I don't talk to you before then...

The Trip home

My journey home begins tomorrow at 2am on a bus. I have a 5 hour layover, so I will most likely be blogging during that time, telling you about my adventures to the airport.

I made a picture list of what I want to do for Christmas using pinterest, of course. Here is what I am going to be doing in my spare time in Kansas (besides seeing and enjoying time with family):

I want to create one of these for muh-self

I also want to make one of these. I really like this style.

Saw this and I thought of things to do with the Pman

I HAVE THIS JACKET IN BLUE. Maybe if I wear it with my khaki pants and a white shirt?? They are all at home, so I will bring them back! :)

Fun bokeh

YES. for Santa.

Also fun Bokeh, I don't know why I haven't tried this yet!

If you want to follow me on pinterest, here is the link! http://pinterest.com/afreeby/

My family is going to pick me up from the Airport and then we are going to go see Christmas lights on the plaza in KC or somewhere else in KC and maybe even go see the temple!! :) I am so excited to see my family again!!!

INSPIRATION!!

If you ever need a crafty inspiration, go to your local fabric store, or just browse some fabric patterns online. IT'S A WHOLE WORLD OF IDEAS OUT THERE. Currently I am working on new business card and a new design for my business and a new design for my blog.
I just went on a maternity photoshoot. It was my second one, and it was really fun!! I think we got some good ones :)

Parker turns seven this Monday, but we celebrated by throwing him a party on Saturday! It's always fun throwing a party for little kids. I was in charge of the cake. This was last years: It was a Pirate party.

I made cupcakes too :)

This year he had a phineas and ferb party. When I explain that to my grandparents, they repeat it, ("Phineas and Ferb?") and say hmm, that's interesting. Sometimes I wonder how the older generations feel about our entertainment today.
I'll show you pictures about it lata. maybe. I'm kinda behind on everything, and this is the last week (basically) that I'm here in Manhattan. After that, Kent comes! And I will have no time to focus on what needs to be done. So this is the week to buckle down and get things done.

Last year around this time I was nervous, but excited to go to college. This year, it's the opposite. I'm excited, but nervous. There's definitely a difference. I think it's different because I know what to expect, and now I need to get in the groove of either doing things better or EVEN BETTER! So, yeah. That's how I feel right now.

Have a good weekend!!
