Two Reasons

Two Reasons why I uploaded this picture.

1. I am looking at this in real life right now.
2. I am going to miss it.

(ps she found that sign with her brother one night while on break at home and brought it back to school)

Remember the first ward Christmas party we went to?? Well that was Kent's, and so tonight we went to mine!

They did the 12 days of Christmas for our ward - which was fun :)

This is Bishop Rossiter and our apartment. We will miss him (he was just released) Every Sunday after sacrament meeting, he stands up and says "We love you!" It's cute we even made him say it in a video to always remember it:

This is Sister Larsen. I just love the women of this Church and how sweet and kind they are. She is part of Relief Society one. woo!

This is Kent Buys. He is quite the stud with those fingers.

You like the tights? They're chevron and pretty sweet too.

I found this AWESOME site where you turn your BLOG into a BOOK. I am seriously thinking about doing that. here is the site: http://blog2print.sharedbook.com/blogworld/printmyblog/index.html
The only problem is the links and videos do not show up, but other than that it's really something neat.

sweeeeeet!
Have a GREAT weekend! I will miss my man who will be in Utah, but I will hopefully get schoolwork and studying DONE. 8 days.

Striped Pajamas

Kent and I watched this last night and let me just warn you - it is SO SAD. You are so distraught at what has happened and then it just ENDS. Events from this time period are so devastating. It has made us so grateful for the country we live in and the freedom we have. I recommend it!
Kent and I are doing this thing where we rent free DVD's from the library and then watch them before they are due (which is 2 days). It's a way for me to get everything done, and then watch something educational with Kent!

I may or may not have to give a presentation in 30 minutes. I will know when I get to class...

Nope, didn't happen.
But I was totally ready to go up and give a presentation on the Great Barrier Reef of Australia.

I made a video for my photography final of some photos I took with a "theme". My theme was "What makes you happy?" And really the purpose was to capture a real smile. Pay attention to what each smile has in common. It's interesting.

In each one of their smiles, their mouth is open! It makes me happy to see other people happy

One last hooo-rah

This is not a final post of any sort, but I just feel like I’m giving school my final effort and my last hoorah for the semester. There are finals and quizzes and projects that require a lot of my time. So does my job. But I haven’t been as stressed as past semesters, which is crazy because Kent is here too! :) Someone once told me Kent is probably equivalent to 20 credits, but those are 20 credits of fun and enjoyable times and memories made together. It has really been a wonderful semester for the two of us and we have grown so much. And I wouldn’t trade those credits for anything!

ice cream!
Last night we tried to surprise each other. I showed up at his interview while he showed up at the end of my class (both at 4:45). We must have taken different routes because we texted each other asking where the other one was and we had switched places. My class got out early so I ran to Zion’s Bank – where he had an interview, and he ran to my photo class (but I got out early). He ran back to Zion’s while I cashed some checks and then we changed something in Kent’s account and traveled over to Jamba Juice in the 1 degree weather. WE GOT THE WHITE GUMMY WITH RASPBERRY! We really enjoyed it because of the taste and also because Kent had a gift card and it was free. While walking back to get ready for Kent’s Christmas ward party, we froze. It was the coldest day of my life. My nose and mouth felt like someone was pinching them. Kent’s ears were falling off from the chills. We had to take 2 breaks on the way home – one at Jimmy Johns, and one in the corner of the stairs to my apartment complex. It was probably the coldest I’d ever been.

We got through it and made it home, changed and went to a Christmas party for Kent’s ward from Church! The food was DELICIOUS there was Turkey, mashed potatoes, rolls, stuffing, corn, cake and (Kent’s personal favorite) Cranberry sauce! Mmmmmmm I could hear my tummy saying “thank you” – due to a major shift from macaroni, ramen, and cereal.
Helping clean up

We were dropped off at my apartment and walked to the Library (still chilly). I did one assignment while kent looked at the free rental DVD’s. We chose this cute Christmas love story with these old people and how they were so different, but fell in love. At the end they started kissing. It was kind of weird and we were like “ehhhhww.” but then we decided we are going to kiss when we are old too. Ha

I am home again in 11 days - I am SO excited to see my family again!! It's going to be tough because I'll miss my man. a lot. But I can't wait to be in my own home again with those wonderful people. LOVE YOU!!

This is me with finals.. I know I will miss this someday.

Have a great Tuesday!

"I only had 2 finger scoops of Peanut Butter...

... and the only reason I couldn't get another one was because it was too far to reach. "

Kent explained that this was his breakfast today. Poor boy, he's also got a cough and a cold and an interview for a bank teller position! We are hoping it goes well, the job he has now is pretty rough.

Hugs and Kisses failed miserably

El Avion de Amor - The plane of LOVE

Kentanna 2000 and the Lightning Striker of LOVE

Happy

For my final project for photo class I must have a theme. My theme is "What makes you happy" and basically it's just capturing the genuine smiles that you can't get by just taking a photograph, you have to interact with the people. I made a video to the music "wink and a smile" - just piano music. Maybe I'll post it lata. I still need 2 more pictures of 2 more smiles.
This is Kent's Mission President who lives in Sugar City (ps the devotional speaker last week was his daughter). He is explaining books to Kent, and I caught this one when he was explaining science fiction :)

These are our really good friends, David and Lauren. They had some reaction from family and friends when they came out of the Temple together. It was wonderful and you can't really tell but David is looking right at the camera and Lauren at him with awesome, real smiles on.

This is Caitlin, my visiting teacher and whom I visit teach as well. After our message in November I asked her what makes her happy, and she brought out her yukilayle (spell check). She sang the cutest song with a beautiful voice - it was amazing! Right when she started strumming, she gave me this smile.

This is LaKesha, my wonderful neighbor! She brought out her guitar, and guess what? She learned to play it and taught HERSELF! It was amazing! I tried to hold a guitar once and it didn't really work out. She sang "If I Die Young" ahh love that song.

This is LaKesha's Sister, Kira (and also my lovely neighbor) She was in the middle of making brownies as she explained why it makes her happy and how she makes them. She uses a mint frosting, and I'm sure they are beyond delicious! I like this cute laugh.

This is Katrina my fabulous roommate. I love her and her hair - it looks good ALL THE TIME. She loves music and was explaining her favorite bands.

Christine loves Twinkies. She was holding a twinkie and kept saying "this is so stupid" while Katrina helped me make her smile. It worked! ha

Michael came over to Katrina, Christine and I while we were taking Christine's picture in the parking lot. I asked him what makes him happy and after like 8 pictures of him at the piano, we finally got a good one. He looks happy :)

I needed a happy picture of Kent and asked him, "What makes you happy?" He said, "you" - so cute. So this is just a picture of him in a field looking at me I guess! I just love this smile and I think I'll miss those cute braces.

So happy. with a cat. :)

I love kitties

Look at how happy he is! I just took this at random after some pizza from 5 buck.

Biking in the winter cold hurts sometimes. and also looks funny sometimes.

Have a happy day!
