Field Trip!

I failed to upload the ones with captions on the pictures. Oh well - Here are the pictures from my field trip (for my natural disasters class) to MONTANA, WYOMING and IDAHO!! Today was the farthest north I have EVER been. It was so beautiful and so fun :)

ps I got home at 3:30pm and then surprised K at work at 4pm (when he gets off). We played frisbee in  a park, went to the store to buy turkey & a mango, then rented a movie, went to Nielsons to get a frozen custard and then we watched the movie! (Money Ball) We also officially finished our wedding invites - we just need to figure out the print settings/double check words and everything and we should be good to go! Only 8 days of the semester left!
woo!!

Orange shirts

I have to remind myself each day why I like my job.
Looking back I know I will have loved this experience, but sometimes I get pushed around and feel like crap. My work is not always used and when I do something, it is not appreciated and I have to go do it again.
buuuut....
The end of the semester is slowly creeping up on us and after that I will not have my wonderful campus photog job anymore.

When I calm myself down after all the pictures I slowly come to realize how extra-ordinary these individuals are. They sacrifice so much of their time to serve as counsel members on teams. They are so fun and smart and all-around amazing people. I have so much respect for all of them and I am so honored to get to take their pictures.
I remember the first few months of my job and how lost I felt. I didn't know anyone and I didn't know what the purpose of their service was. Now I understand all the effort and excitement they put into their positions because they truly love it and want to help others.

I had a lot of fun photographing in a studio today! The guy in-charge of the studio helped me out with camera/flash stuff and it was such a blast. He told my boss that I know what I am doing (bossing around models and talking camera talk with him). That made me feel good and I think it was good for my boss to hear. :)
Tomorrow is this HUGE photo shoot of every. single. person. from. the. department. at 2pm in the icenter!
Pray for me!

Hope your day was fab-

Spying

This is what I see on my walk home from work every Monday Wednesday Friday at 4:00pm. Someday I will forget this fabulous view and miss it. So here's a picture.

On this particular picture-taking-mood day I realized that Kent Buys walks home from work at the same time. So I decided to spy.

After a disguised "how was your day honey?!" phone call, I found out that I had time to make the move and spy on him.

It was so fun and so sneaky

Right now I am on my belly taking pictures of him through a gate

This is a WAY zooomed up picture of his reaction to my "looking sexy" whistle... I'm not sure how to type that. Then he came running to me like the movies.

He jumped up onto the fence and kissed me. It was fun sneaking up on him. I recommend it! But make sure you know the person. If you don't, that's what facebook is for.
Then gave me a baby scone and grabbed the camera to take a picture of me. It came out with some model material:

Have a happy Wednesday! We go to Utah this weekend!!
SO EXCITED.

p.s. we have a funny story to tell you about this picture:
(those smiles are 100% real because of the situation behind it)
