Here's an update on my pet photography life:
Sunny & Jenny
Chance - he was rescued
The beginning of this summer, I thought that maybe this was a silly idea. After the first puppy I took photos of it, I LOVED the idea. I love photography, and I love animals. It only made sense to take pictures of them. I'm so grateful to the people who let me take pictures of their wonderful pets! ahh I love these horses.

p.s. this is all I do now. edit. edit. edit.

toodles. The boyfran is coming to town soon!!!!

INSPIRATION!!

If you ever need a crafty inspiration, go to your local fabric store, or just browse some fabric patterns online. IT'S A WHOLE WORLD OF IDEAS OUT THERE. Currently I am working on new business card and a new design for my business and a new design for my blog.
I just went on a maternity photoshoot. It was my second one, and it was really fun!! I think we got some good ones :)

Parker turns seven this Monday, but we celebrated by throwing him a party on Saturday! It's always fun throwing a party for little kids. I was in charge of the cake. This was last years: It was a Pirate party.

I made cupcakes too :)

This year he had a phineas and ferb party. When I explain that to my grandparents, they repeat it, ("Phineas and Ferb?") and say hmm, that's interesting. Sometimes I wonder how the older generations feel about our entertainment today.
I'll show you pictures about it lata. maybe. I'm kinda behind on everything, and this is the last week (basically) that I'm here in Manhattan. After that, Kent comes! And I will have no time to focus on what needs to be done. So this is the week to buckle down and get things done.

Last year around this time I was nervous, but excited to go to college. This year, it's the opposite. I'm excited, but nervous. There's definitely a difference. I think it's different because I know what to expect, and now I need to get in the groove of either doing things better or EVEN BETTER! So, yeah. That's how I feel right now.

Have a good weekend!!

Dusty

one of the many quotes I've pinned on pinterest

(written at the beginning of July)
Summer has taken over and I have not been very good at blogging! Okay, so my current project is switching rooms with Claire, my younger sister. We started with the closet which was good. I've been holding on to a LOT of random things that need to be given away/thrown away. I found a box with all these neat quotes and church stuff. I feel guilty throwing them away, so I'll just blog about them! It's a win win if you ask me. Type up quotes = more blogging! :)

The first one was probably an email I got when I was 14 and HAD to keep it. They are just suggestions on how to live a good life.

Health:
Drink plenty of Water - I agree with this
Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar - my grandpa told me the same thing
Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants - carrrrbbbss
Make time to pray - all the time
Live with Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy
Read more books than you did the previous year
Play more games
Sit in silence for at least 10 min each day - ponder
Sleep for 7 hrs. - AND THAT'S IT (ha I like my sleep)
Take a 10-30 minutes' walk daily. And while you walk, smile :)

Personality:
Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

Pretty sure I threw the sheet to continue this list in the garbage.. but it's a good list so far. Claire and I have successfully switched rooms! It has made me get rid of so much and really focus on what I need to keep. I'm also leaving for Idaho in 22 days, so I'll need to organize everything and choose what gets to go and what gets to stay. I am so grateful for a wonderful family who will take care and let my junk live at their house :) Have an awesome Thursday!

    One Day at a time

At the beginning of my second semester of my freshman year at BYU-Idaho, we had a CES Fireside where Elder D. Todd Christofferson spoke. I had wonderful ideas come to my mind on how I need to be taking "one day at a time" instead of worrying about everything at once. It's great to look to the future, and keep your eyes open to what is ahead, but taking things one day at a time helps me focus on how to make THAT day great and THAT day worth something. I'm so grateful for the leaders of my church and their beautiful and inspired messages.

    Sometimes I wish

Sometimes I want to be different and discover more to life, and TRAVEL and do good in the world. But then I get overwhelmed with all these ideas and give up that thought, until it comes back again. I just need to start, and start small. Then who knows? Maybe it will turn into something big.

    Creativity

"We are thinking, reasoning human beings. We have the ability to identify our needs, to plan, to set goals, and to solve our problems. The characteristics of a creative person can be used to develop solutions for seemingly insurmountable obstacles. We can use originality to overcome opposition. We can develop new ways to help others resolve difficult situations in their lives.
Creative people must have a constant curiosity. They should be constantly observing and listening to new ideas. They should be willing to admit that someone else’s solution might be better. And they should learn the lessons provided by previous experience—both their own and others’."
I like to "Create". The words from this talk and the video are kind of different, but I feel like they kind of tie together. Channel it, but use it.
